Tours and Activities

 

TEMPLE TOURS Small Circuit or Grand Circuit, allow 1-3 days, visiting Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom (Elephant Terrace), Bayon, Ta Phrom (Tomb Raider); Banteay Srie (Lady Temple), Pre Rub, East Mebon, Ta Som, Neak Paon and Preah Khan. Perhaps you would like to enjoy the sunrise over Angkor Wat or Sunset at Bakheng Hill. A guide can be arranged to accompany you to explain the history of the temples.

KULEN MOUNTAIN Located 50km from Siem Reap is considered a Holy Mountain to the Cambodian people. Set in tropical rainforest, view the reclining Buddha, River of 1000 Lingas and cool off in the invigorating waterfall.

FLOATING VILLAGE Travel by boat on Tonle Sap Lake, the biggest lake in South East Asia and home to a number of floating villages or communities perched high on stilts.  You have the opportunity to enjoy a sunset dinner on the lake or explore flooded forests, depending on the season / time of year.

VILLAGE EXPERIENCE Immerse yourself in the culture of a Cambodian village. Tours ranging from half day to overnight can be arranged to suit.

DINNER AND A TRADITIONAL DANCE Enjoy a buffet dinner and marvel at the beautiful costumes and intricacies of the Apsara dancers.

ANGKOR NATIONAL MUSEUM, CAMBODIAN LANDMINE MUSEUM and CAMBODIAN WAR MUSEUM all offer an insight to different aspects of Cambodia’s tumultuous past and ancient history. Very different museum but all worthy of a visit.

LOCAL ARTS AND CRAFT  No visit to Siem Reap is complete without a visit to Artisans d’Angkor where age-old crafts are being re-discovered and put in to practice using traditional tools and local Khmer artisans. A guide will explain to you the process of traditional carving, painting and silver smithing. Further afield at the Silkworm Farm you will see the process of making silk from the humble beginnings of the silk worm cacoon to the creation of beautiful fabrics and garments.

PHARE – THE CAMBODIAN CIRCUS A combination of theatre, dance, original live music and breathtaking circus acts telling unique Cambodian stories, both traditional and contemporary. Phare artists are graduates of Phare Ponleu Selpak, Battambang which provides free public education and vocational arts training to children from disadvantaged backgrounds. A MUST SEE!!!

COOK LIKE A KHMER Indulge your passion for cooking at a local kitchen where you will visit the local market to source your ingredients then prepare and cook your chosen dishes and best of all get to eat your creations – rikreay cheamuoy (enjoy).

CAMBODIAN CULTURAL VILLAGE 10 unique villages displaying different Cambodian areas and ethnic cultural heritage and history. Daily performances of traditional dancing, singing and music gives you a glimpse at the lifestyle of the Cambodian people.

PREK TOAL BIRD SANCTUARY Situated in the Tonle Sap Biosphere Reserve it is the single most important breeding ground in South East Asia to globally threatened large water birds.

  • ZIP LINE ADVENTURE A world-class zip line adventure awaits you within the World Heritage Angkor Archaeological Park.  A variety of options are available to suit your requirements.
     

  • QUAD BIKE TOURS Get off the beaten track and explore Siem Reap and surrounds on a 4-wheel ATV. Get a sense of the “real” Cambodia travelling through the countryside where not many tourists venture. Tours range from 1 hour to a full day. Even overnight tours can be arranged.
     

  • EXPLORING BY BICYCLE gives you the opportunity to travel at a more leisurely pace, allowing you to take in the surrounds.  Arrangements can be made to hire a bicycle individually or be part of a guided group...the choice is yours.
     

  • GET A BIRD’S EYE VIEW There is no better way to see Siem Reap and the temples than from the air. A number of options are available including ultralight flights, helicopter flights or even a tethered hot air balloon (depending on the weather and season).
     

  • VISIT A SHOOTING RANGE Have you ever wondered what an AK47 or M16 look like? In Siem Reap you can not only see them, and a whole host of other firearms, but you can also get the opportunity to fire rounds through them in complete safety. A variety of options are available, please enquire.
